SlamHive Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how HiveApp Technologies LLC (“SlamHive,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use SlamHive websites, apps, and related services (the “Service”).
By using the Service, you agree to this Policy together with our Terms of Service and Community Standards. The Service is intended for users 18+.

1. Information we collect
Account and profile
Email address, username, password hash, date of birth, optional bio/photo, OAuth identifiers (if you sign in with a supported provider), and similar account settings.
Product activity
Sports preferences, Banter messages and media you send, Home interactions, notification preferences, Premium / billing status metadata, device registrations, and support requests.
Device, logs, and security
IP address, device/app identifiers, approximate location derived from IP where used for security or compliance, crash/diagnostic logs, and tokens used for push notifications. We may enforce a per-account device limit (typically starting around 5).
Advertising (free plans)
On free plans, advertising partners may receive or use advertising identifiers and related signals subject to your device settings and applicable law.
Payments
For web billing we use Stripe; for mobile subscriptions we use Apple and/or Google. We do not store full payment card numbers. Stores and Stripe provide limited billing metadata needed to unlock Premium and handle support.
2. How we use information
We use information to:
- Provide Home, Banter, Premium, notifications, and Settings
- Authenticate users and protect accounts (including device limits and abuse prevention)
- Process payments and manage subscriptions
- Show ads on free plans
- Improve reliability and product features
- Comply with law and respond to lawful requests
- Communicate about the Service (security, billing, product notices)
3. Sharing
We share information with service providers that help us operate SlamHive (for example MongoDB Atlas, Cloudflare R2, Google Cloud, Stripe, Apple, Google Play, push vendors, sports data APIs such as TheSportsDB, and advertising partners on free plans). We require providers to use data only to perform services for us, except where they act as independent controllers (e.g. app stores).
We do not sell personal information. We may disclose information if required by law, to protect users or the Service, or in connection with a merger/acquisition with appropriate notice where required.
Banter and other user-to-user features necessarily share the content you choose to send with recipients.
4. Retention and deletion
We retain account and product data while your account is active and as needed for backups, billing, security, abuse investigations, and legal obligations.
If you delete your SlamHive account, we remove SlamHive credentials and product data we control, subject to the exceptions above. Unless we expressly ship Hive-wide delete for SlamHive, deleting SlamHive does not automatically delete AlbumHive or other sibling-app accounts.
5. Security
We use industry-standard safeguards appropriate to the Service. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
6. Children’s privacy
SlamHive is 18+. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If you believe we have, contact [email protected] and we will take appropriate steps.
7. International users
We may process data in the United States and other countries where our providers operate. If you access the Service from outside those locations, you understand your information may be transferred to those countries.
8. Changes
We may update this Policy by posting a revised version and updating the “Last updated” date. Material changes will be highlighted where required by law.
